Printer-friendly versionMy website is intended to be a place for me to post the writing I do. From private bits like my journal and ideas to more public articles like my blog, this is where I do my writing and where I store and organize my writing. This is kind of like my internet file system for writing.
My website is made up of two main classifications of content.
- Content Type
- Blog Entries: Just stuff I happen to write down and post in the public area
- Book Pages: This is a bit of a misnomer. These aren't necessarily books but rather collections of essays, ideas, some writing tidbits organized in a hierarchical fashion.
- Book Reviews: This is where I keep track of my reading.
- What I've read in the past
- What I'm reading now
- and my reading list, books and articles I want to read someday
- Journal Entries: My private thoughts
- Pages: General purpose pages like this one, meant to convey a specific message about my website.
- Terms: Terms individual entries that describe or define some 'noun'. Collected together, my Terms make up sort of a dictionary or lexicon if you will.
- Comments: Well, comments are just that. Comments that website visitors leave regarding specific pieces of content.
- Subject Matter (topics)
- ...topics/subjects/keywords...what is my writing about. The various content types above can beassigned one or more of these keywords. Subject matter is organized into vocabularies and terms using the Taxonomy application.
There is an endless number of relationships between content types and topics.
Example: I wrote a short essay (content type) about Buddhism (topic) called The Big Questions.
